How to create curved and organic logos

Soften hard edges with curve segments and corner fillets for friendlier, more organic marks.

Strict geometry can feel cold. Curves and rounded corners add warmth - think app icons, wellness brands, and playful mascots. Logo Lattice gives you two ways to introduce curvature: arc segments between two points, and fillets on polygon corners.

Add arc segments

  1. Press 4 to activate the Curve tool.
  2. Click a start point, then drag to an end point - Logo Lattice draws a smooth arc between them.
  3. Toggle fill on the arc to colour the patch between the chord and the curve, useful for leaf shapes and smile curves.

Round polygon corners

Draw a polygon or drop a preset shape, then select it with the Select tool (2). Drag the small handles at each corner to set a fillet radius. You can also set a default radius in the function bar and apply one value to every corner at once - handy for uniform rounding on a hexagon or star.

Mix curves with straight edges

A strong organic logo often pairs one curved edge with several straight ones. Draw the straight skeleton with the polygon tool, then add a single arc segment for the distinctive curve. Keep the rest of the silhouette angular so the curve stands out.

Colour and export

Curved logos often use a single saturated fill with no stroke. Use the SVG tab in Export for smooth arcs at any scale, or PNG with a brand-fill background from the PNG tab if you want a coloured tile behind the mark.
